Your Role:The Lead Manufacturing Associate, Downstream plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of Downstream manufacturing processes while adhering to the shift schedule. This dynamic position demands a robust leadership skillset, in-depth knowledge of downstream processes and cGMP requirements, and hands-on experience with MFG Downstream equipment. As the driving force behind the implementation of on-the-job training (OJT), the MFG Lead serves as the main trainer for Downstream associates and Senior associates, leading the team to ensure the smooth progress of the entire process.

Who you are:

This dynamic position demands a robust leadership skillset, in-depth knowledge of downstream processes and cGMP requirements, and hands-on experience with MFG Downstream equipment. As the driving force behind the implementation of on-the-job training (OJT), the MFG Lead serves as the main trainer for Downstream associates and Senior associates, leading the team to ensure the smooth progress of the entire process.
- Lead and execute the shift activities from start to finish with little supervision and successful adherence to planned activities per shift.
- Strong leadership skillset to mentor and train MFG associates and senior associates on on-the-job training modules.
- Ensuring successful delivery of the shift scheduled activities by proactively prepping and setting up for current and upcoming processes.
- Communicating with MFG management on Process Status and collaborating to resolve issues on the floor.
- Monitoring Process Health through process monitoring.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- B.S. in scientific or engineering (chemical or biomedical) discipline.
- 4+ years of Downstream manufacturing experience.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with depth filtration, purification by affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction chromatography, viral inactivation and filtration, tangential flow filtration, sterile filtration, and bulk drug substance fills.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with downstream process equipment including, but not limited to AKTA ready column chromatography skids, large-scale filtration skids, and Unicorn software.
- Track record for analyzing and resolving complex manufacturing and production issues.
- Strong knowledge of cGMPs or equivalent standards.
- Sound decision-making skillset to resolve or escalate deviations and/or issues on the production floor.
- Communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and verbally.
- Proficient time management/multi-tasking and project oversite skills.
- Track record of strong leadership.
