Job Description
THE POSITION:
The EHS Manager is responsible for analyzing, identifying, and measuring workplace hazards or stresses that can cause sickness, impaired health, or significant discomfort in employees through chemical, physical, ergonomic, or biological exposures. They are responsible for making sure that employees follow health and safety laws and creating policies for a safer work environment. The manager will develop safety programs from scratch.
They must take measures to identify potential workplace hazards and improve existing conditions. The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring that quality training and best safety practices are in place for a safe and effective workplace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PEOPLE LEADER
Our people leaders are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
- Develop staff members assigned to the area
- Ensure all operation associates perform their duties and responsibilities in accordance with applicable standard operation procedures (SOPs)
- Complete all special projects assigned by the Operations Manager or their designated representative
- Demonstrate effective problem investigation and resolution skills
- Monitor, track and discipline staff employees as necessary.
- Facilitate a safe operational environment for all employees by strictly complying with and enforcing all company safety requirements.
- All other duties as assigned
The EHS Manager is responsible for continuously monitoring and adapting safety procedures and operations to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees. The main duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Monitor the removal of biological, physical or chemical hazards from a workplace
- Provide safety monthly training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures
- Advise the company’s administrative team on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations
- Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
- Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines
- Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment

- Travel <5% Locally
- Hours Availability of 7a – 7pm
