What does the role entail?

As a Senior Software Developer, you enjoy solving challenges and working in an agile environment. Our projects offer a healthy balance of both worlds. You'll get to build brand new digital services from scratch using the latest tech stack, as well as continuously modernize, maintain, and scale existing solutions for our long-term clients. We hope that you have strong experience in JavaScript and full stack development and are eager to share your knowledge with fellow developers.

Your daily work consists of project-based collaboration with skilled developers, project managers, and designers, while also working directly with clients to understand their needs and goals. Our project teams are typically compact and agile. Usually consisting of a designer, 1–2 developers, a project manager or CSM. In this role, you will develop and optimize mobile applications, utilizing both front-end and back-end technologies such as TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, and Node.js. AI-assisted programming is part of your daily work, and you want to develop yourself and make use of different techniques in working with AI.

As a senior developer, you ensure the technical success of projects, understand the full project scope, and take responsibility for architecture decisions as well as supporting other developers and actively participate in quality assurance. Together with the project team, you understand the client’s objectives and communicate directly with them. While our organization is self-directed, we follow clear processes around technical implementation, quality evaluation, and code reviews. These reviews are carried out by our most skilled developers – and you could be one of them now or in the future.

💰Salary range: 4000–5000€, depending on your experience and skills.

Who you are?

• You have strong experience in modern JavaScript and full stack development, particularly with TypeScript, React, React Native, and Node.js. You understand how to build high-quality, scalable digital services across both mobile and web platforms.

• You are experienced with some or all of the following:

  • Frontend development: React, TypeScript, responsive user interfaces, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), TailwindCSS, and component libraries

  • Mobile & PWA development: React Native, mobile-specific capabilities (e.g. push notifications, OTA updates, NFC), Progressive Web App solutions, and offline functionality

  • Backend development: Node.js, GraphQL, and frameworks such as NestJS or Fastify

  • Databases & integrations: e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, as well as RESTful APIs and HTTP fundamentals

  • Quality assurance & DevOps: testing (e.g. Jest, Playwright, Cypress), Git, CI/CD, and cloud environments such as Google Cloud

  • Security: modern application development best practices, including JWT authentication, API key management, and access restrictions

• Beyond technical expertise, you are a strong collaborator: you work effectively with clients, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, communicate proactively within project teams, and take a practical approach to solution design. You are able to estimate implementation effort and technical impact, and you maintain documentation effectively (e.g. Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Azure DevOps).

• You enjoy sharing knowledge, mentoring other developers, and building high-quality solutions together. You are self-directed, solution-oriented, and adapt quickly to changing situations.

• A relevant higher education degree is considered an advantage. You work fluently in both Finnish and English.
