Building Management Assistant

Job Overview

As a Building Management Assistant, you will serve as a key support member of our facilities management team, ensuring the smooth daily operation and maintenance of commercial properties. This hands-on role combines building maintenance, safety monitoring, and client support to maintain optimal working environments for our tenants.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Morning facility walk-throughs to assess building conditions and identify any issues
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing water filters, and addressing minor repairs
• Monitoring security systems and conducting safety checks throughout the property
• Supporting tenant relocations by moving furniture, equipment, and delivering supplies
• Documenting findings from daily inspections and communicating with senior maintenance staff
• Responding to emergency situations as part of the building's safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of building systems and maintenance procedures
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or related field
• Familiarity with commercial building security systems
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems
• Professional certifications in building maintenance or safety

Full-time position, standard business hours with potential for emergency response availability
