About the role

HealthPartners is looking to hire Administrative Fellows to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.   

 

Position Summary: 

The HealthPartners Administrative Fellowship is designed to provide a breadth of experience across the care continuum, developing healthcare management, administrative, and leadership skills through project work, committee participation, and work assignments. The fellow will engage in various projects in operations, finance, quality improvement, community relations, human resources, facility management, and more. HealthPartners strives to match project-based work that advances our mission and vision with the fellow’s interests to provide for a mutually beneficial relationship.  Fellowship experience will vary widely depending on the needs of the fellow, the organization, and the environment in which the organization operates. This program is designed to expose students to top management activities and work to provide analysis and recommendations on key operational activities on care process design and financial impact.  

 

2025-2026 Fellowship Opportunities include: 

  • Twin Cities Metro Hospitals (Methodist Hospital and Regions Hospital) & Ambulatory Care across HealthPartners System 
  • Valley Hospitals & Clinics (Eastern MN and Western WI) 

 

Tentative Timeline: 

  • Applications Due: September 11th at 4 PM (CST) 
  • Phone Interview: Week of September 16th 
  • First Round Interview: Week of September 23rd 
  • Final Round Interview: Week of September 30th 
  • Potential Offers: Early-Mid October 

 

Work Schedule: 

  • 1.0 FTE – Full Time 
  • Monday through Friday, varies 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: 
    • Bachelor's Degree and participant in accredited Master’s Degree program in health care administration, health services administration, business administration, or public health.  
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
    • Flexibility and willingness to assume a variety of role assignments and deal effectively with ambiguity 
    • Understanding and commitment to cultural competency and diversity in the workplace and in the practice of health care 
    • Attention to detail  
    • Strong oral and written communication skills 
    • Strong analytical skills and confidence in decision making 
    • Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously 
    • Able to take ownership and initiative to accomplish work effectively 
    • Possesses self-motivation, teamwork skills, and emotional intelligence 
    • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
    • Demonstrates ability to work collegially with internal and external contacts
