Job Summary

If so, Master Builders Solutions has an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Global Procurement Indirect Category Manager (Generalist) to join our team.

Responsibilities

As a Global Procurement Indirect Category Manager, you will be entrusted with managing and sourcing our most critical categories, including Information Technology, Professional Services, Technical Goods, and potentially others. Your primary goal will be to secure optimal conditions in terms of cost and benefits while maximizing the procurement contribution and continuously enhancing supply base performance. Here's what you'll be doing:

 

Category Management: Take ownership of the management of an Indirect spend of approximately 100 Mio EUR p.a.

Strategic Analysis: Conduct thorough spend analysis, identify strategic savings opportunities, and execute them effectively.

Category Strategy: Develop comprehensive category strategies, implement strategic sourcing plans, and lead initiatives for cost improvement.

Supplier Optimization: Optimize the supplier base to ensure the best cost, commercial conditions, quality, and delivery performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and internal procurement teams to align and support their objectives.

Tender Management: Manage global and regional tenders, drive supplier relationship management, and share best practices.

Supplier Agreements: Execute and manage master supplier agreements and effectively manage supplier risk.

Supplier Performance: Evaluate supplier performance across cost, trade working capital, quality, delivery, service, and technology.

Process Enhancement: Oversee and optimize the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Experience

What We're Looking For:

 

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

 

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: A minimum of 5+ years' experience in procurement roles, ideally with a focus on indirect or direct materials. Experience in an international environment, preferably managing different countries or regions within Indirect Category Management, is highly desired.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).

Procurement Expertise: Strong familiarity with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Category Management principles.

Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation skills, project management abilities, robust spend analysis experience, and a track record of achieving savings through sourcing and negotiation events.

Contract Management: In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, negotiation terms, and contract management.

Communication: Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
