Anticipated Hiring Range

$4,799.00 - $5,405.00 Per Month ($57,588.00 - $64,860.00 Annually)

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Position Summary

The Employment Services Analyst reports to the Assistant Director of Employment Services. In collaboration with departments, colleges and hiring officials, this position facilitates the coordination, development and posting of staff positions; which includes providing guidance concerning interview procedures and selection criteria. This position is also responsible for ensuring the timeliness in service delivery as it relates to HRMS processing of faculty & staff employment transactions for assigned colleges and departments. This position provides advice and counsel to the campus community as it relates to faculty and staff employment policies procedures and the collective bargaining agreement provisions.  

Position Information

Recruitment
  • Provide full-cycle recruiting services for assigned colleges and departments.
  • Facilitate the development of position descriptions with departments/colleges.
  • Ensure position descriptions are in compliance with the CSU Classification Standards.
  • Provide guidance concerning interview procedures and selection criteria.
ETRAC Processing & Department Advisement
  • Collaborate with colleges and departments on employment changes for faculty and staff.
  • Process HRMS faculty and staff/management employment transactions.
  • Ensure that paperwork and ETRACs are completed in a timely fashion and in accordance with University policy.
Temporary Hire Process Tracking
  • Review independent contractor agreements, special consultant appointments, and honorariums for accuracy to make sure duties are in line with the classification prior to Associate Director’s review and approval.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of human resources practices.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts. Working knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis and the ability to apply them.
  • Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques.
  • Ability to organize and plan work and projects including handling multiple priorities.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
