The Oregon Department of Corrections is currently hiring for two Office Specialist positions at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, Oregon. These positions are situated in an office setting. This recruitment will establish a list of qualified candidates, which may be used to fill both temporary and future vacancies.
This position is represented by the Association of Oregon Corrections Employees (AOCE) labor union. This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.
About the Job – Your Role
The primary goal of this position is to provide clerical support across various sections at the Oregon State Penitentiary, including AIC Work Programs, Group Living, Special Housing, the Superintendent’s Office, General Services, and the Security Office. Responsibilities include tasks such as ordering, LEDS and CJIS management, new employee screening, and assisting managers with clerical needs.
