About the role

Resource Innovations is seeking a Director of Compensation and Benefits to join our growing team!  As Director of Compensation and Benefits, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Resource Innovations’ compensation and benefits strategy. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will partner with the RI Leadership and Human Resources teams to design and implement structure, programs and initiatives that empower employees to thrive in a purpose-driven, innovative, and inclusive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Compensation Strategy & Execution 

    • Lead the development and implementation of competitive, equitable compensation structures, salary bands, and job leveling frameworks that scale with organizational growth.
    • Oversee annual compensation planning cycles, including merit increases, market adjustments, and bonus planning. 
    • Conduct market benchmarking and pay equity analysis to inform recommendations and ensure alignment with industry standards and internal equity. 
    • Partner closely with Finance, HR, and business leaders to align compensation programs with performance and budget objectives. 

Benefits Program Management 

    • Design, administer, and optimize employee benefit programs—including health, wellness, retirement, and ancillary benefits—to enhance employee well-being and cost-efficiency. 
    • Manage vendor relationships and lead evaluation efforts to improve benefit offerings. 
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA). 
    • Lead open enrollment and ongoing benefits communications to ensure clarity and engagement. 

Total Rewards Operations & Compliance 

    • Drive process integrity and accuracy across compensation and benefits systems, tools, and workflows. 
    • Maintain up-to-date compensation and benefits policies, standard operating procedures, and internal documentation. 
    • Oversee audits, filings, and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance. 

Strategic Projects & M&A Integration 

    • Lead total rewards integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and harmonization of compensation and benefits programs. 
    • Drive key initiatives related to internal pay equity, transparency, and alignment with DEI goals. 
    • Evaluate and implement systems and tools that enhance analytics capabilities and process efficiencies. 

Collaboration & Communication 

    • Prepare and deliver materials for Board and executive leadership meetings related to compensation and benefits. 
    • Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to communicate policies and ensure understanding across the organization. 
    • Provide training and guidance to HR and management teams on compensation philosophy, pay practices, and benefits programs. 
    • Other Duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, including 3+ years in a leadership role. 
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) and/or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) certification. 
  • Deep understanding of compensation frameworks, benefits strategy, and relevant labor and benefits regulations. 
  • Strong data analysis and modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday, Oracle etc.). 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience managing total rewards in a remote-first or distributed workforce. 
  • Familiarity with private equity-backed environments and preparing compensation materials for Boards. 
  • Experience integrating compensation and benefits strategies through M&A and/or rapid
