ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

• Review Balance Sheet and Income Statement for reasonableness. 
• Research and understand causes of variance to plan, forecast, and prior period. 
• Participate in month- end close process through analysis, review, identification of errors or inconsistencies, corrections where appropriate.
• Understand and interpret both manual general ledger entries and subsystem interface entries from various operations groups.
• Reconcile or review select general ledger accounts
• Establish, monitor and adjust accruals or amortization entries where appropriate.
• Perform research for inquiries concerning recorded transactions.
• Act as liaison between Financial Operations and KSC Operations in interpretation of financial impact of subsystem interfaces.
• Develop understanding of applicable technical accounting guidance and review Financial Statements for conformity with GAAP.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3- 5 years' experience in a financial related field
• PC literate with experience using Microsoft Windows applications
• Experience with or exposure to MSA and other subsystem applications.
• Personal computer, ten- key calculator, telephone, fax and copy machine.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $56,000 $64,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
