 Compensation:          $185,000-$195,000, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time (100% time) exempt staff position, providing a robust benefits package. Position Summary:

Mission Action is looking for its next Deputy Director to help lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The Deputy Director will work closely with Mission Action’s Executive Director to implement the organization’s strategy; build and manage systems that promote efficiency and impact; help manage its finances and operations; track progress toward its goals and help to navigate change as necessary. They will manage Mission Action’s systems to support its budgeting, accounting, fundraising, internal communications, and daily operations, and they will support collaboration among the organization’s varied and growing programs so they can continue to flourish. The position will ensure smooth operations between external consultants and Mission Action. Their role will involve collaborating with three departments across Mission Action, in addition to the Executive Director. They will supervise the Operations, I.T., and Asset Management, and collaborate closely with the members of the Executive Team and the Senior Leadership Team.

The Deputy Director will focus on continual process and operations improvements, overseeing daily operations, planning, quality control, and monitoring of organizational resources. The director will create sound policies and procedures, develop tracking and reporting processes and tools, and develop information flows.  The selected candidate will actively engage direct reports to develop work plans, track progress toward goals, and increase their effectiveness and efficiency of leaders.

The Deputy Director will demonstrate a passion for the mission of the organization, dedication to the community we serve, and will foster excellent community, government, funder, and partner relationships. The position will represent the organization at public engagements, collaborations, and coalitions. It will assist with marketing and increasing the visibility of the organization and its programs, build and maintain key relationships, and support the Executive Director in identifying strategic opportunities.
