Position Summary:

The Robot Operator Level 1’s role is to set up and operate a robotic welder to meet or exceed customer specs by reading blueprints, create parts and assemblies that meet or exceed customer and productivity requirements. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Internal Relationships: All Departments

External Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to work center
  • Learn and apply Robot procedures
  • Learn to implement safety policies and procedures
  • Learn to follow a WPS
  • Assist higher level robot operators and receive hands on experience and training.
  • Ensure machine is working properly.
  • Ensure appropriate nesting program is delivered to work center
  • Ensure nesting program matches print with work order
  • Ensure that the correct gas, speed and consumables are applied correctly
  • Accurately project completion of work orders at work center
  • Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Welding knowledge and or Welding employment experience
  • Knowledge of 6S
  • Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance.
  • Previous experience working in industrial manufacturing industry preferred.

 

Environment/Physical Requirements with or without Accommodation:   

This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
  • Must be able to position welding apparatus in any position
