Essential Criteria:

• 10+ years of experience in R&D, innovation, or advanced technology roles, preferably in a product-focused organization
• Experience leading technical teams through ideation, prototyping, and deployment of advanced solutions
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Deep technical expertise in at least one of the following: AI/ML, computer vision, embedded systems, robotics, or edge computing
• Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to align innovation with business priorities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performance teams
• Experience with design for manufacturability and taking prototypes into production preferred
• Innovative problem-solving with a team-oriented mindset
• Plan a project and execute to achieve results
• Evaluate Team Member performance and motivate Team Members
• Research and learn new technologies
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
• Excellent aptitude in electronics, firmware, and software
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Basic electronic manufacturing knowledge and strong business operations knowledge
• Familiarity with Musco solutions is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary Emerging Technologies Team focused on research, prototyping, and commercialization of next-generation technologies
• Identify, evaluate, and validate emerging technologies and trends that can enhance Musco’s products and solutions
• Guide ideas from proof of concept through feasibility into scalable pilot implementations
• Work with internal team (Sales, Marketing, etc.) to develop plans to test Market feasibility
