Job Description

Bosch Rexroth is seeking an Inside Service Technician to inspect, repair, test, and restore precision hydraulic and electro‑mechanical products to like‑new condition. In this role, you will work hands‑on with advanced technologies—including axial piston units, energy actuators, and servo/proportional valves—while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining the highest quality standards.

      Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, tear down, repair, and test Bosch Rexroth products, including axial piston units, energy actuators, and servo/proportional valves.
  • Analyze returned products and accurately document findings, warranty decisions, and repair details in SAP.
  • Prepare parts lists required to restore products to full functional capability.
  • Restore all products to like‑new condition and perform final testing to meet factory specifications.
  • Collaborate with Quality, production teams, and management as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with 5S principles.
  • Participate in BPS/Kaizen workshops and identify opportunities to reduce bottlenecks and improve processes.
  • Travel for training may be required, including opportunities in Europe.
  • Work overtime as needed, including short‑notice requests.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Practical repair experience with hydraulic components OR 3 years of mechanical experience in a related field (automotive, electrical, etc.).
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new product designs through internal or external training, including international training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality and timely output.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and capability to obtain crane and forklift certification.
  • Working knowledge of common shop tools (grinders, air tools, drill press, hand tools, digital calipers, depth gauges, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret pressure gauges, flow meters, and electrical meters (amp/volt).

** This position may be filled at either the Trainee or Technician level based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
