  • Support engineering with a variety of moderately complex engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks
  • Demonstrate competent technical expertise across both electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Review project instructions, drawings, and specifications to ascertain test requirements, procedures, objectives, and to support design for manufacturability
  • Set up and conduct tests of units, components, and prototype hardware

  • Operate and maintain FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) 3D printers, including model slicing/preparation (e.g., Simplify3D, Orca Slicer, Inventor CAM), print parameter optimization, material selection, machine calibration, and routine maintenance
  • Able to work independently on a weekly basis with minimal supervision
  • Provides hands-on feedback to engineers regarding manufacturability, fit, and assembly concerns
  • Mentor and coach less experienced technicians
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrate competent technical expertise across both electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Familiarity with electrical basic topics: voltage, resistance, power and use of electrical assets like DMMs, Power Supplies, Oscilloscope, etc.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude: able to identify hardware (screws, washers, nuts, etc), know how pieces of equipment mount together, able to mount parts in a box, etc.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of developing military vehicle electrical hardware, cable components and integration of hardware onto a military vehicle system a plus
