Dallas College is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to join our Drama faculty at the Brookhaven campus. This is a technical theatre full-time faculty position. The faculty member is expected to instruct courses such as Stagecraft I, Stagecraft II (Lights and Sound) and/or Costume Technology, Drafting, Design, Theater and/or Film Appreciation, and teach courses related to the candidate’s specialization in the Technical Theater and Live Events program. Additionally, the faculty member will be involved in production work as a designer in his/her/their area of expertise and oversee students in production practicums. Other responsibilities include student mentorship, recruitment, and serving on various academic committees as part of faculty institutional service. The faculty member will be assigned primarily to the Brookhaven campus, but some teaching in the Technical Theatre and Live Events program, production work, and institutional service may require the faculty member to travel occasionally to other Dallas College campuses.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree of Arts or Master of Fine Arts degree in drama, or theatre or a master's degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in drama.
One year of demonstrated teaching experience required.
Official transcript will be required.
Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Teaching and Learning
Teach students in assigned classes in accordance with course descriptions and/or learning outcomes, the course syllabus, and institutional policies and procedures
Provide students with a syllabus that includes required institutional policies, course objectives, materials, and methods of evaluation
Provide a workload schedule showing teaching and office hours
Certify student attendance in classes by the established deadlines
Maintain accurate and complete course records
Submit final grades by the established deadlines
Communicate with and provide feedback to students in a timely fashion
