You will work on some of the latest data platforms such as Databricks Snowflake, Prefect, and more. Directly working with key stakeholders to define platform road map and determine solution requirements. You will constantly work on exploring new technologies innovating and enabling new capabilities for our IT and Business associates. The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer will design, develop, maintain, and support core platform components including but not limited to APIs, Data workflow orchestrations, automation scripts and utilities. Will work with other data platform SMEs (such as Databricks, Snowflake etc) to evaluate manual operations and automate them using a range of tools available within Humana.  Collaborates with cross platform teams and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud based products/services, applications and solutions. Rationalize technology and legacy scripts and migrate to new microservices architecture. Enable IT and Business users to self-serve data platform capabilities. Acts as a product owner for the supporting platforms, creates strategic road maps to evolve and mature the data platform space.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Python with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development including but not limited to API frameworks (Flask, Fast API), Data Processing (Pyspark, Pandas).
  • Strong experience in interacting with SQL/NOSQL databases
  • Experience with code coverage tools such as SonarQube, unit testing frameworks such as pytest or unittest and security scanning.
  • Familiar with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect or Dagster and proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Familiar with data warehousing solutions like Databricks BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake or open source solutions such as Apache Spark or Hadoop, delta lake, iceberg.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms and data engineering in GCP or Azure
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community.
  • Experience with Devops tools like Jenkins, github actions or  Gitlab CI
  • Experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for container orchestration
