Job Description

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant/Controller to join our fast-paced e-commerce team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of our financial operations, driving our growth from $2.2 million to $4.5 million in annual revenue. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Shopify, develop comprehensive financial strategies, and provide crucial insights that will shape our business decisions. Responsibilities

• Spearhead all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate monthly closings and preparation of financial statements
  
• Develop and maintain an innovative KPI dashboard to track and analyze key business metrics, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making
  
• Take charge of cash flow management, providing regular projections to optimize working capital and support rapid growth
  
• Create and update budgets and financial forecasts, adapting to the dynamic nature of our fast-growing business
  
• Master the intricacies of Amazon and Shopify financial reporting, reconciling sales data with our financial systems to ensure accuracy and identify growth opportunities
  
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, including variance explanations, to drive performance improvements
  
• Lead the charge in optimizing and streamlining accounting processes, enhancing efficiency across our financial operations
  
• Collaborate with the executive team to prepare compelling financial materials for potential investors or lenders, supporting our expansion plans
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record in high-growth environments
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a passion for e-commerce and DTC businesses
  
• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
  
• Demonstrated mastery of Amazon and Shopify financial reporting systems, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex data
  
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining dynamic KPI dashboards that drive business performance
  
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide strategic financial guidance
  
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
