Scope:
Responsibility for the leadership of the Gilbert Site and the Manufacturing Operations.
Job Summary:
To provide leadership for the Operations activities including Manufacturing, shipping, engineering support, quality, EH&S, and facilities, ensuring all operational and financial goals and objectives are met.
Supports the creation and drives execution of the long-range strategic plan, annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
Working cross functionally with the local teams such as IT, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain, Human Resources & Finance to drive and develop company objectives.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
This role will be responsible for:
- Implementation of VMOST for the Gilbert site in collaboration with the Director of Global Manufacturing Ops
- Oversight and support for all projects impacting the Site, including NPI, Tech Transfer, facilities and infrastructure upgrades along with Continuous Improvement.
- Displaying leadership skills like (but not excluded to) coaching and providing guidance to achieve/maintain a highly motivated effective team.
- Directs the manufacturing (both lenses and raw material), packaging & distribution and engineering towards the accomplishment of the site’s objectives.
- Develops and institutes procedures and controls to provide effective communications between managed departments.
- Ensures a robust Quality Management System is in place by developing and maintaining quality assurance protocols.
- Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Ensures the facility complies with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Creates and monitors operating policies and procedures and ensures their timely execution.
- Responsible for meeting operational productivity, quality, HR and financial goals.
- Implement and support continued improvement processes.
- Oversee purchased materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency.
- Establishes departmental goals to ensure efficient workflow and enhance productivity.
- Plans and manages logistics, and warehouse.
- Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and prepare operational activity reports to the leadership team.
- Maintains a consistent and appropriate workplace atmosphere conducive to high productivity and engagement.
Travel Requirements:
Approximately 5% per year to other SEC Sites Internationally as required.
