Director, Product Management

What does a successful Director, Product Management do at Fiserv?

The Director, Product Management will have an opportunity optimize strategic product management activities for a digital banking delivery channel currently used by millions of users. The optimal candidate will have experience in both product management and financial technology, bringing that rich experience to our delivery channels. The Director, Product Management will contribute financial industry experience and digital banking acumen. What you will do:

  • Lead and support interlock activities and pan-Fiserv initiatives across multiple product management and business unit organizations.
  • Develop investment cases to realize returns on market opportunities.
  • Develop pricing and positioning strategies for product suite.
  • Work with architecture, development, and delivery representatives to achieve desired outcomes through successful delivery of the product roadmap.
  • Work with sales and marketing representatives to achieve desired outcomes through successful channel management, adoption, and marketing activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team and other stakeholders through all aspects of the Product Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC).
  • Lead client advisory council, including meetings, content generation, speaker selection, and ad hoc client interaction activities.
  • Apply all aspects of the Pragmatic Marketing Framework to the role including identification and solutioning for market problems, build/buy/partner decisions, and go-to-market activities.
  • Function as a trusted partner and digital banking subject matter expert for clients, prospects, and other key stakeholders.

What you need to have:

  • BS/BA and/or equivalent applicable working experience required. Advanced degrees a plus.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in technology/software related product management or financial services product management with a focus on digital banking
  • Minimum of five years’ experience, and proficiency in product management standards and practices, with appreciation for the end-to-end product management discipline
  • Experience with account processing systems and integration between those systems and online/mobile channels.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership skills and business acumen. Solid thought leadership and ability to influence others through collaborative efforts.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and to be able to make balanced judgments when faced with trade-offs.
  • Knowledge of online, mobile and tablet technology and industry trends.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to be able to collaborate with other organizational units in a highly matrixed company and lead through influence.
  • Travel Required: 25%
