HVAC Product Engineer (Onsite)

SUMMARY

The HVAC Product Engineer (Team Lead) is part of the HVAC R&D organization. The primary purpose of the HVAC Product Engineer (Team Lead) role is to successfully industrialize and manage the life cycle of an HVAC module from an engineering perspective. This is accomplished by collaborating with design homeroom engineering and local support from process planning, quality, validation, and warranty engineers. The Product Engineer will follow the Product Development Process and associated procedures to ensure product meets customer specifications and MAHLE targets when serialized.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform specification reviews, identify areas of opportunity and risk.
• Participate with team to produce comprehensive DVP&R /DFMEA document.
• Present project at Design Acceptance Meeting (DAM) and support Process Acceptance Meeting (PAM) reviews.
• Develop Prototype (SLS) designs for DV testing as needed.
• Conduct / support drawing release process for tooling or product change management.
• Work with Validation team and confirm Design (DV) and Process Validation (PV) test results meet specification.
• Support manufacturing launch activities to confirm product quality and factory productivity objectives.
• Lead problem resolution for any design related issues.
• Support product life cycle including future cost optimization and warranty analysis.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Product Engineering.
• Strong ability to handle multiple projects.
• Hands on experience is Highly Desired.
