Job Title
Quality Control SupervisorAs a Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing quality control activities designed to ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards and customer specifications.Job Description:
- Independently plan, coordinate, and directs quality control requirements with employees to ensure quality production standards meet or exceed Company and customer specifications.
- Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge to translate customer requirements into precision measurement equipment programs and incorporate these requirements into part inspection plans.
- Understand and use a complete range of small, hand-held inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other tools to perform quality inspection work and train employees as needed.
- Design, install, and continually evaluate quality assurance and/or control methods and systems.
- Develop standards, procedures, and work instructions to provide guidance and facilitate related training activities.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities between departments to ensure that products conform to specifications and is shipping in a timely manner.
- Develop, generate, and analyze reports and returned products to identify quality issue trends and facilitate corrective action/quality improvements as needed.
- Coordinate and participate in material review activities to determine nonconforming product dispositions and corrective actions as needed.
- Provide technical guidance in the use of statistical process control, basic problem solving, and measurement error techniques.
- Create, develop, and modify programs and serve as subject matter expert for measurement equipment such as the CMM to determine conformance of components, materials, and products to customer specifications.
- Perform QC liaison activities as required to support internal/external customer service and satisfaction.
- Serve as subject matter expert for measuring equipment for programming, fixture design, and calibration. Design and develop appropriate fixtures to expedite part setup, including multiple part setup.
- Responsible for supervising assigned employees including monitoring, reviewing, and approving employee time records in a timely manner, preparing and administering on-time delivery of employee performance reviews, enforcing attendance and work rules uniformly, and recommending and participating in counseling or discipline.
- Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned.
