The Assistant Manager supports and assists the Restaurant Manager with managing the daily operation of Taverna Banfi in the Statler Hotel. This role assists with all areas of planning and management, including guest service, human resources functions, finance and budgeting, security of assets, marketing, health and safety, and the teaching mission of the School of Hotel Administration.
Required Qualifications & Position Competencies/Skills:
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting inclusion, belonging, and well-being.
- Demonstrated skill with understanding of cultural differences.
- Proven experience connecting inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing practices to business goals.
- 3-5 years Hotel/Restaurant management experience.
- Excellent coaching, training, counseling, and mentoring skills.
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, scheduling software, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant professional certifications such as: SHRM, CIPD, ServSafe, NEHA, TIPS.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or relevant field.
