We are on the lookout for a visionary Finance Director to join our dynamic team and spearhead our tech portfolio. As a Finance Director, you will be at the forefront of coordinating Technology meetings with Senior Walmart US leadership, leading the innovative US 4itB finance team for Product and UX/UI Design, managing strategic trade-off discussions within the technology portfolio, and aligning goals with resources to drive exceptional results. Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the technology portfolio.
- Align strategic goals with resource planning and budget management.
- Deliver insightful financial recommendations to empower decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with technology and business strategy teams to ensure seamless integration of financial planning and execution.
- Set future expense targets and analyze business performance in partnership with cross-functional teams (4itB teams, Business Strategy, People, and Finance teams).
- Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead Product and Design finance teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Orchestrate and manage regular high-impact meetings (e.g., Digital Asset Council, Tech Portfolio Reviews) to track and monitor business performance and workstream status.
- Facilitate trade-off discussions to optimize resource allocation and project outcomes.
- Decision Support:
- Establish robust financial modeling standards that incorporate relevant and accurate assumptions, expectations, and known risks for tech workstreams, structuring a methodology for “common currency” evaluations.
- Prepare compelling presentations and supporting materials for critical business decisions.
- Communicate forecasts, assumptions, and variances to senior management with clarity and precision.
- Team Development:
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for associates, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Select, train, and inspire team members to achieve their full potential.
- Assign duties and cultivate a collaborative, team-based work environment.
- Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
- Recognize and reward success, providing coaching for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives.
- Consult with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders.
- Solicit, evaluate, and apply suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in and support community outreach events.
- Compliance & Ethics:
- Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Train and provide direction to others in their use and application.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and utilize/support the Open Door Policy.
