Software Senior Engineer

As a Software Senior Engineer, you will work under the direction of the Software Development Manager to aid in the day-to-day support and implementation of various software application solutions. You will maintain close relationships with various customers to ensure cohesive lines of communication, both internally and externally, as it relates to potential development efforts. You will also serve as a functional Subject Matter Expert of various software implementations and technologies, and work closely with various operational groups to support production software setups, troubleshooting, and initiatives.

Review, gather and gain an understanding of customer application requirements ranging from conversations and meetings, to vendor implementation documents. Review customer requirements into an analysis document, representing the overall and specific application details. Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the delivered implementation Meet the given requirements/analysis. Provide support for applications and business process development, as well as graphical interfaces. Provide application testing support to internal and external customers. Ensure adherence to the Company’s analysis and development standards. Participate in defining the Information Technology (IT) Development best practices and strategic planning. Proactively identify and communicate issues and propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement. Provide training to internal and external customers. Communicate and work as needed with any internal/external customers with minimal guidance of more senior engineers or management present.

For this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, 7 years of Information Technology (IT) application development experience and previous experience with the following: leading complex development projects, Java, Cobol, or other application software and previous experience with lean-agile development methodologies, Jira or other Service Management software experience. We would prefer for you to have 1 years of IT application development experience.
