The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

At Block, our mission on the Executive Operations team is to amplify the impact of executives and their teams. We are looking for an innovative, trustworthy, reliable individual with a passion for supporting teams. Our Executive Business Partners are strategic partners - from calendaring and booking travel, to reporting processes and providing team support, you will participate in a variety of efforts to support Block's programs. You will join the Executive Operations Team, supporting team(s) focused on Block Engineering. We are looking for a natural leader who has a passion for solving problems, enjoys taking on new tasks and projects, who's unflappable under pressure, and who executes at a high level with integrity in this energetic and human-centric environment.

You Will

  • Provide a wide range of strategic to administrative support for up to two executives.
  • Proactively manage the executives' calendar, high volume of travel bookings [both international and domestic], expenses, and other administrative tasks.

  • Optimize executive efficiency by developing streamlined processes for time management, including weekly and quarterly reporting, goal tracking, and team meeting coordination.
  • Take ownership of projects by identifying priorities, addressing gaps, and compiling key materials, including agendas and presentations for all-hands meetings and events.
  • Work within our centralized Executive Operations team to provide support, mentorship, and guidance to enhance the team as a whole.

You Have

  • 8+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within both startup and enterprise-level technology companies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cross-functional teams.
  • High level of professionalism in managing external partnerships and handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, including the capacity to streamline executive workflows, leverage data for decision-making, and utilize AI tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in international travel coordination, including managing complex itineraries, visas, accommodations, and real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and impactful messaging.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), including Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides.
