Data Analyst CJob Description Summary
Dr. Andrea Schneider (Division of Neurocritical Care, Department of Neurology and Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics) and Dr. Allison Willis (Division of Movement Disorders and Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics) are seeking a data analyst C/D to assist with data analysis for National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded neuroepidemiology-related research projects using the Merative MarketScan Research Databases. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, dementia, and Parkinson's disease.Job Description
The data analyst C/D will be directly supervised by Dr. Schneider and Dr. Willis. The data analyst C/D will collaboratively provide biostatistical/epidemiologic and data analytic support to Dr. Schneider, Dr. Willis and their collaborative team, present results, and publish findings. A basic understanding of the biological questions and providing rigorous biostatistical/epidemiologic expertise is a requirement of this position. The candidate should have biostatistics/epidemiology experience, database management experience, statistical programming skills (Stata, R, or comparable statistical software), and a background or strong interest in neuroepidemiology. Both C and D level candidates will be required to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in these skills. Data Analyst D candidates will also assist in writing manuscripts and grants, with a focus on the statistical analysis sections.
This position is contingent on continued funding.
Qualifications
- C level: Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- D level: Bachelor of Science, Bachelors of Science, and 3 to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
