A Day in the Life
Position description:
Provide strategic leadership and sales direction to meet and exceed revenue and market share objectives for the Neurovascular (NV) business. Drive sales execution across district teams and ensure collaboration across sales to leverage key customer relationships. Responsible for coaching and development of management teams and drive talent development and retention strategies for the area.
Position responsibilities:
Supports the development and/or implement business strategies for existing and potential accounts.
Identifies opportunities and develop new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share.
Assesses the need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conduct competitive analysis, and implement strategies.
Assesses, develops and manages leadership team through effective development opportunities and performance management.
Promotes and sell Medtronic's Neurovascular products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors, surgeons, nurses, and key opinion leaders.
Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Neurovascular products and/or services.
Provides clinical and technical support during cases and informs the clinician of patient treatment options.
Promotes education of the company's products and/or services.
Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors activities.
Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
Establishes effective relationships and collaborates with other departments (Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales Training, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SALES CAREER STREAM: Management and supervisory sales professionals focus on direct sales and operational activities for one or more specified business units. Levels within the sales management career stream typically have multiple direct reports. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing performance, talent development, diversity and inclusion, communication business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and / or indirect reports, but may involve direct sales participation as appropriate.
