This Production Technician position is an on-site, full-time, non-exempt position. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00am  3:30pm.

 

Job Summary:

Production Technicians are responsible for testing manufactured goods before they are implemented for internal use or marketed to the general public. They ensure products are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues. Set up, test, and adjust manufacturing machinery or equipment, using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computer technologies.

 

Job Specifics:

•    Ensuring the required materials are available for production, and that the factory is safe for all workers.
•    Inspecting machinery and reporting any faults to management and workers.
•    Identifying faults and troubleshooting wherever possible.
•    Analyzing performance and products, then making suitable recommendations.
•    Scheduling training sessions and refresher workshops as required.
•    Establishing high-quality standards and ensuring they are implemented by workers.
•    Regularly educating staff members on health and safety regulations.
•    Implementing preventative maintenance methods.
•    Staying up-to-date with efficient methods of production and equipment maintenance procedures.
•    Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
•    Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
•    Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
•    Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
 

Experience Requirements:

•    Ability to troubleshoot machinery
•    Knowledge of production required
•    Experience in manufacturing would be advantageous
•    Problem-solving skills.
•    Analytical thinking skills 

•    Mechanical & electrical knowledge would be advantagous
•    Ability to provide training

 

Education:

  • High school or GED.
  • Preferred two-year degree in electronics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Quality:

•    Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
•    Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function).
•    Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
•    Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
•    Adopt the “Beyond Compliance Quality Culture” in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.
 

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:

•    Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions.
•    Hearing necessary to receive and reply to employees. 
•    Ability to speak clearly in order to communicate with employees in person.

•     Responsible for understanding and conforming to the Health and Safety Policy to ensure that the significant risks that relate to actual or potential hazards with their work are identified.

•    May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
•    Must wear appropriate PPE as required. This may include:
        o    Safety Glasses
