Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently seeking a Global Supply Chain Coordinator to join our PowerDrive System business unit team. 

The Global Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our global supply chain team through the maintenance of various GSM systems, analysis of complex supplier and commodity data, communicating and ensuring standardization across various global reporting units. The candidate will utilize their skills to monitor and support our internal BorgWarner Supplier Price Adjustment System, Supplier Scorecards, Supplier Change Request System, Promenta, Ivalua, EASL, Supplier Profiles and corresponding reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintains supplier profile data within various systems and ensures required documentation is current
  • Lead business unit contact for long term MDM project
  • Works collaboratively with global supply chain and finance team members to collect and review data for accuracy and consistency
  • Ensures compliance with supply chain and financial reporting policies and procedures
  • Provides global system support, identifies root cause of issues, and implements solutions that maintain a holistic and long-term perspective in mind
  • Completes user testing for global supply chain system upgrades
  • Accountable for the integration of new systems and processes, including data migration
  • On-boards and offers continual training to new internal team members
  • Responsible for external communications with the supply base
  • Integrates data from multiple data sources into relevant reports
  • Provides support for supplementary ad hoc supply chain reporting, as well as other global supply chain systems and large-scale project initiatives

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related program
  • 0-2 years’ experience required; however, preference will be given to those with 3-5 years’ experience.
  • SAP experience required
  • Expert level skills within Microsoft Excel required (VLookup, if statements, pivot tables, ability to data mine and compare large data sets and research issues)
  • Applicant must have excellent quantitative skills and extremely detail oriented with an interest in mining large data sets for accuracy and consistency
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to produce under pressure and manage multiple competing deliverables
  • Ability to take initiative to develop and implement new projects and process to improve forecast accuracy and supporting data trends
  • Self-driven individual, ability to work independently as well as with global team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Schedule flexibility to support global team members within other regions as needed (Americas, Europe & Asia)
  • Occasional travel may be required (approximately 10%)
