General Purpose:

In Supervisor’s absence directs the Cooler team members to make sure there is efficient loading and shipping of product to customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Assemble orders to ensure efficient loading of trucks and accurate completion of customer orders.

·         Load and unload trucks as needed using forklift.

·         Communicate with the Dry Warehouse, QA and Customer Service on a regular basis to insure that products needed for customers are being produced.

·         Perform inventory of product within cooler as needed providing management with up to date information of product produced.

·         Perform and document general housekeeping duties within the cooler area.

·         Assist WMS and manage inventory and monitor warehouse.   

·         Create and distribute the rework and opp cheese lists to management.

·         Ensure accuracy and on time shipment of product against orders

·         Safeguards company assets

·         Ensure effective utilization of labor, ensure development and training

·         Meet standards for employee safety, food safety and quality in cooler area

·         Support achievement of department KPI’s

·         Perform required functions within SAP program

·         Follow and ensure all department employees follow all forklift safety regulations.

·         Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality, GMP’s, and Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity

·         Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Qualifications:

            Education and Experience

 

§  Three years of experience within a production area of the plant or equivalent is required.

            Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

§  Ability to use simple writing, adding, subtracting and multiplication.

§  Ability to carry out instructions.

§  Knowledge/Ability to use computer applications. SAP Preferred

§  Strong teambuilding and communication skills
