Fortuna is seeking a hands-on and technically capable System Operations Specialist II - Junior to support our client's enterprise DevOps and systems management efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity for a journey-level technician to work across a variety of environments, supporting code deployments, system configurations, automation tools, and performance optimization initiatives.

Compensation: $42.00 - $44.00

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
-
Support systems management including performance, capacity, configuration, release, and batch scheduling

Manage Configuration Item promotion and deployment across development and production environments

Prepare builds, perform production releases, and handle code merges and deployments

Provide problem resolution for system/server issues in coordination with users

Monitor system metrics and contribute to performance improvements

Maintain batch schedules and execute operational playbooks

Build and test infrastructure provisioning automation tools
WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of enterprise-level IT experience
-
Strong system administration skills (Windows Server including 2016, IIS version 10.0)

Troubleshooting skills related to Windows OS configuration and maintenance
-
Experience configuring and maintaining IIS
-
TFS management experience (On-premises and Azure)

Proficient with PowerShell scripting

Hands-on experience with Windows Batch Scheduler
-
Familiarity with endpoint virtualization tools (e.g., SOA Akana, API-Gateway)

Experience with triaging system security issues
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in .NET/C# development
-
Experience supporting ASP.NET and Windows Forms applications

Proficiency in WCF and REST web service configurations

Exposure to JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices

Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
