Your Opportunity
The Director - Corporate Development will drive increased shareholder value through applying industry experience with proactive and creative deal sourcing that leads to transactions to consolidate and extend ESABs capabilities to new segments of opportunity in the fabrication technology segment.
This position will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the ESAB growth strategy through the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. Director - Corporate Development will have responsibility for sourcing and executing transactions that align with the business’s strategic roadmap and that contribute to the company’s top-line and bottom-line growth while working collaboratively with the executive team and cross-functional groups, including Operations, Commercial, Product Management, HR, Finance, Tax, and Legal, in addition to external resources.
What you will do
Develop deep intelligence and business model expertise in the Fabrication Technology and adjacent spaces.
Work closely with the executive team and business unit leaders to develop a comprehensive acquisition and partnership strategic framework to guide focus areas and opportunity evaluation criteria.
Build a pipeline of strategic opportunities by developing a network of key players in the industry from which to source potential transactions.
Prepare detailed business cases and recommendations to the executive team and Board of Directors.
Lead all aspects of deal execution, including research of targets, strategic and financial assessment, due diligence, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
Responsible for monitoring progress and success post-deal (ROI measures, KPI achievements)
Participate in corporate strategic planning process.

A passion for industrial markets and products
Excellent project management and organization skills with the ability to seamlessly multi-task and lead multiple high-priority, time-sensitive initiatives in parallel.
Expertise in developing business and investment cases, financial analysis and modeling, understanding legal agreements, and creating presentations.
Strong experience analyzing and presenting all relevant market, industry, and company factors to support proactively identifying targets and priorities.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the experience and ability to effectively influence at all internal and external levels.
Ability to contribute to high-level strategy, in addition to being a master of details and processes when needed.
Track record of success in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment with the ability to be self-sufficient, proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
Self-driven, capable of working without significant support, seniority to interact with high level leaders in the organization, influencing on decisions.
Experience working in a global or multi-national business is desired.
Prefer a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years’ experience leading deal teams in M&A-focused strategic consulting, investment banking, private
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred.
