Registered Nurse (RN) – AH Union PACU  

Monroe, NC, United States   

 

 

Where You Will Work:  

 

 Atrium Union PACU specializes in delivering safe, immediate post-operative care to a broad array of specialties, including but not limited to General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, and ENT.  Nurses use the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage pain, watch for complications, and stabilize vital signs before patients are transferred to inpatient units or discharged.  

 

The unit supports evidence-based quality initiatives, emphasizing safety culture, collaboration with the broader interdisciplinary team, and continuous monitoring of unit and patient outcomes. 

 

 We’re Looking For:  

 

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing  

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices  

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association   

• ACLS required 

• Previous Critical Care, PACU or Emergency Department experience strongly preferred for this position

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.   

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
