Maintenance Training Manager

The Learning & Experience Manager (Maintenance) drives training and development efforts for maintenance teams, ensuring alignment with operational goals. They lead New Hire Bootcamps, manage the NOTCH Mentor Program for maintenance supervisors, and oversee maintenance learning plans and Interplay courses in Fuse. This role partners closely with Regional Maintenance Directors to deliver hands-on training, support onboarding, and improve technical, safety, and compliance skills across the portfolio. They also support maintenance appreciation and culture-building efforts that contribute to teammate engagement and retention. *Bi-lingual in Spanish is required.
What you'll do:
ONBOARDING & MENTORSHIPFocuses on equipping maintenance new hires with foundational knowledge and fostering long-term success through mentorship.

• New Hire Bootcamps (Maintenance): Lead and deliver bootcamps for maintenance professionals, with emphasis on system navigation and core technical skills.
• NOTCH Mentor Program (Maintenance): Manage maintenance mentor assignments, ensuring mentors are equipping new hires with critical field skills and company cultural values.
• Onboarding Learning Plan Completion: Track and support completion of assigned onboarding learning plans to ensure smooth and consistent new hire experiences.
• TX & FL Takeover Site Visits: Conduct onboarding visits to support training and cultural integration at new properties.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENTFocuses on driving maintenance team performance, closing skill gaps, and supporting leadership development.

• Performance Meetings with RMDs: Attend regular meetings with Regional Maintenance Directors to review performance trends and align on development priorities.
• Facilities Monthly Maintenance Workshops: Develop and facilitate monthly workshops to upskill maintenance teams, focusing on core competencies and advanced technical skills.
• Bi-Weekly Site Visits: Conduct in-person visits focused on coaching, skill-building, and reinforcing SOPs
• RexTech Training: Ensure proper adoption and training on RexTech for work order management, make readies, and operational efficiency.

LEARNING MANAGEMENT & CONTENT DEVELOPMENTFocuses on creating and maintaining impactful learning programs that drive skill growth and operational consistency.

• Interplay Course Management in Fuse: Manage Interplay integration and course assignment within Fuse, ensuring maintenance techs complete skill-based learning tracks.
• RP Weekly Maintenance Content: Develop and curate relevant maintenance content for the RP Weekly to reinforce ongoing learning and highlight success stories.
• Safety/Compliance Training: Coordinate delivery and tracking of safety and compliance training modules to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

What you bring:

• Education & Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in maintenance, skilled trades leadership, or training and development. Experience managing learning content, mentoring programs, or leading technical training is strongly preferred. A formal degree is not required.

  • CAM-T
  • EPA
  • CPO

• Related Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Have experience leading engaging group training sessions 
  • 5+ Years in Multi-Family Maintenance 
  • Background in Reac and Nspire inspections
  • Ability to certify in EPA or CPO
