Data Entry Specialist- Historical Newspaper Research (ZR_23376_JOB)

• We are seeking a meticulous and proficient Data Entry Specialist to assist in building a research database using historical newspapers. The primary responsibility involves processing scanned newspaper pages to extract and organize employment-related classified ads. This role demands a high level of English proficiency, keen attention to detail, and comfort with computer applications.
  

• Review scanned newspaper pages to identify employment-related classified ads, including "help wanted," "situation wanted," and similar categories.
  
• Utilize ShareX, a free screenshot tool, to capture and systematically name images of the identified ads.
  Organize and maintain a structured database of the captured images for research purposes.
  Ensure accuracy and completeness in capturing all relevant text from the ads.
  Manage file paths and directories within ShareX, requiring basic navigation skills in Windows Explorer or Finder.
  Maintain a consistent pace while balancing efficiency and attention to detail.
  

Requirements

• Proficient in English, with the ability to comprehend and interpret occasionally challenging text.
  
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  
• Comfortable using computer applications and navigating file systems.
  
• Experience with ShareX or similar screenshot tools is advantageous but not mandatory.
  
• Reliable internet connection and a computer capable of handling image processing tasks.

• File Management Systems: Proficiency in navigating and managing files using Windows Explorer or Finder.
