The DES, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Business & Operations Manager (Administrative Services Officer 5) with the Business Operations Administration. This position provides high-level leadership and direction to execute financial, operational, and strategic initiatives for the Division.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist with the oversight and management of the Division's accounting, finance, data analytics, information and reporting; accounts payable; contracts; purchasing, facilities, and/or State Disbursement Unit/Clearinghouse.
- Analyze performance, plan, organize and assign work, establish priorities, and assure that realistic completion schedules are developed, documented, and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Work with senior leadership to identify and avoid liabilities that may place federal incentives at risk and/or compromise service for clients.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge in:
- Federal and State laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, goals and responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of department/agency regulations and operating procedures.
- Internal control structures.
- Analysis, auditing, review and evaluation tools.
- Reference materials such as federal regulations, financial research methodologies, management and supervisory techniques and team motivation.

Skills in:
- Strong facilitation and active listening skills.
- Managing and balancing a wide variety of management and administrative functions.
- Supervision including interpersonal skills and imparting knowledge to others.
- Being collaborative and flexible with a strong service mentality.
- Critical thinking, detail oriented and analytical skills.

Ability to:
- Summarize, analyze and interpret large amounts of complex information.
- Plan, coordinate, analyze, and establish priorities across multiple assignments.
- Manage, coach, mentor and counsel a diverse group of professionals.
- Exercise a high degree of discretion and independent judgment.
- Make daily business operational decisions and recommendations.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, public administration or related field OR
five (5) years of professional experience in related fields including social service programs, human service fields, or other public policy.
- A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a related field.
