MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with Systems Office Vice President of Career Link, AVP of Employer Connections and AVP of Career Coaching to build and operationalize statewide career strategy and plan to meet and exceed related College placement outcome metrics and goals.
Builds innovative solutions and start-up processes to enable the achievement of new talent strategy through a focus on building a robust talent acquisition model that attracts state and national employer partners and fosters a culture of engaged students and alumni.
Crafts the design and implementation of diversity recruiting strategies that honor and support employer demands and criterion through collaborative efforts with VP of Diversity Equity and Belonging.
Leads national and statewide employer partnerships in recruitment practices regarding talent acquisition and employer/student engagement experiences.
Strategizes the engagement and recruitment landscape for employer and student connectivity and builds an intentional engagement scaffold that prepares and leads to a work and learn experience and career hire.
Develops customized work and learn frameworks that meet the business needs of national and statewide employer partners, including micro and virtual internships.
Serves as coach, consultant, and strategic partner to Talent Connection Managers to develop deep understanding and appreciation of consultative sales and business development practices, that focus on intentional efforts in engaging employers directly in recruitment and placement of College’s students.
Collaborates and partners with Industry Sector VPs to identify and develop key outreach sourcing initiatives to ensure a consistent pipeline of employer opportunities for students in high-demand careers.
Leads efforts to build awareness of career work-and-learn opportunities at campuses and with employers, including, but not limited to, such areas as internships, co-ops, apprenticeships, and other work-and-learn constructs.
Analyzes, consults, and reports placement outcome data, wages and employment trends to make informed decisions on career readiness tools and new employer connections matching state’s high-wage, high-demand sectors
Provides outcomes for key stakeholders including investors, state agencies and other government partners to demonstrate cutting edge practices and brand value.
Leads, collaborates, influences, and leverages corporate partners, government, statewide and national agencies in the definition and build of work-based learning programs and experiences that support Ivy Tech students: CHE, Work + Learn Indiana, CAEL, Indiana Chamber, Employ Indy, Ascend, OWBLA, DWD, Work One.
Serves as the Career Link statewide lead regarding work-based learning with Indiana State Personnel Department, Department of Workforce Development, Legislative Services and other government agencies related to career development and job placement opportunities for the College’s students.
Leads on-going efforts with (CHE) as part of a statewide committee to define and establish relevant work and learn experience definition as per state compliance for accredited Institutions.
Supports campus Executive Directors of Career Link in staff selection through role competency identification and interview participation.
Stewards the development of new SO Career Link staff (Systems, Training, and Innovation Manager) to improve technology and processes that support, track, and validate the employer and student work and learn experience and placement outcome.
