Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Operations will drive organic and cross-sell growth initiatives, manage a distributed cross-functional team, and oversee the operational performance of the organization. The ideal candidate is a business-savvy operator with SaaS experience and a partnerships GTM focus, who enjoys taking ownership within their scope and delivering results in collaboration with senior leadership. The candidate should have experience executing GTM strategies, improving operations, managing key partnerships, and finding creative growth opportunities. vertical.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision and Execution: Collaborate with the Vertical President and product development team to implement company strategy through operational planning, budgeting, and measurable execution.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Manage and collaborate with Product, Operations, Customer Support, Sales, and Engineering teams to ensure goals and targets are met, delivering excellent service and value.
- Growth and Commercialization: Support growth activities including contributing to large sales opportunities, engaging with customers, representing the company at trade, and driving partnership opportunities. Assist with the framework for cross-selling and help identify GTM strategies.
- Operational Excellence: Represent the company in regular strategic, operational, and other planning cycles including budgeting, capacity planning, financial planning, etc. Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement.
- Financial Management: Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly financials with senior leadership. Own P&L and ensure the financial health of the company.
- Shared Services Integration: Coordinate with corporate teams (HR, IT, InfoSec, FP&A) to ensure effective use of shared services and operational best practices.
- Talent Management: Help attract and retain top operational talent. Coach and develop team members, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and refine KPIs to provide visibility and insight into organizational performance and execution. Monitor, measure, and report on opportunities, challenges, and development plans designed to meet and exceed company objectives.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong operational thinker with organizational skills and sound judgment.
- Experience managing budgets and supporting financial accountability.
- Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of SaaS metrics.
- Background in operations and cross-functional team leadership.
- Effective communicator with experience engaging multiple departments.
- Experience supporting partnership and cross-sell efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years’ experience with 1–2+ years in senior or director-level roles.
