Sr. Business Architect - ERP Solutions

We are currently seeking a Sr. Business Architect for our client in the Automatic Transmissions Manufacturing industry who is in the process of choosing a new ERP system. This position is eight weeks in length and requires a passionate self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment, pay attention to detail and contribute to conceptual discussions and decisions regarding the selection of an appropriate new system for 15-20 locations.

This role is most likely hybrid with both remote and onsite work if needed in Durham, NC. The base rate range for this position is typically $80/hr to $85/hr with additional benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, connect with key stakeholder to understand what they do, how they work, and how they want to work.

• Document key workstream interactions with other workstreams and technologies.
• Develop detailed requirements matrix by functional area.

• Create data-drive vendor evaluation scorecard.
• Design detailed use case scenarios by process area to educate vendors.
• Lay foundation for future change management efforts.
• Qualify software vendors based on requirements.

• Develop software selection Request for Quotation.
• Design an operating model and end-to-end processes for each in-scope area of the business…e.g., HR, Finance, Supply Chain, etc. to support business transformation goals.

What You’ll Need To Succeed:

• Ability to travel if needed to Durham, NC.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in ERP implementation and consultation, with a focus on manufacturing industries, preferably with exposure to multiple ERP platforms.
• ERP Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of various ERP systems, ideally with a specialization in the Manufacturing industry.

• Manufacturing Industry Acumen: Familiarity with the automotive manufacturing sector and its specific needs regarding ERP systems.
• Business Process Design: Experience in designing operating models and end-to-end processes, with proficiency in process frameworks like APQC.
• Requirements Gathering and Validation: Proven ability to review and validate requirements and develop a detailed requirements matrix.
• Vendor Evaluation: Skills in creating data-driven vendor evaluation scorecards and facilitating use case scenarios for vendor education.
• RFQ Development: Experience in developing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and managing vendor demonstrations.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with key stakeholders and understand their workflows.
• Change Management: Ability to lay the foundation for future change management efforts and guide the organization through the transition.
