We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Project Specialist to support strategic projects supporting the Power & Controls (P&C) portfolio. In this high-visibility role, you will collaborate regularly with senior leadership, providing updates on business progress and driving impactful results. This role provides excellent exposure across Collins Aerospace and offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development. Success in this role will require exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong business judgment, meticulous attention to detail, effective problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset to meet customer commitments within tight timelines.

This position can sit onsite in Windsor Locks, CT or be fully remote.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate, recommend and select suppliers based on capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.

  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, awarding contracts, developing new qualified sources of supply. 

  • Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy.

  • Analyze suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

  • Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across multi-tiered supply base for given commodities.

  • Negotiate and execute RFP Scope to contract signature.

  • Participate in Value Engineering opportunities with Suppliers such as DFM, cost savings and drives projects to closure.

  • Ensure suppliers are performing to delivery, quality, and cost perspective requirements.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to all levels of management.

  • Responsible for projects to support strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage projects with significant scope and complexity.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of procurement and supply chain modern processes and techniques.

  • Develop strategic project initiatives and demonstrated success in developing tactical plans carrying through to successful execution.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Working experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, or Supplier Management.

  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

  • Experience successfully leading complex, strategic projects in a global or matrixed environment.

  • Ability to travel as needed (20% anticipated).
