Job Description
The Associate Director, US HCP Marketing is responsible for providing commercial support and direction for HCP and patient brand marketing strategy and tactics execution. This is a critical role with impact and visibility across departments and that works intimately with key stakeholders within the organization. Currently, this role will report to the Senior Director, HCP Marketing, and will support both HCP and patient customers. In the future, we plan to bring on at least one additional marketer, so the role may eventually split between HCP and patient responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HCP Marketing, be comfortable with remote work, and possess the ability to work efficiently within East Coast time zone hours.
Key responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
- Support implementation of the commercial marketing plan focusing on key HCP and patient segments
- Demonstrate and implement effective project management to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and support business objectives
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and event-based initiatives, to drive awareness of the new medicine.
- Coordinate the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, email campaigns, and website content, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and compliance standards.
- Conduct/support research on competitors, market trends, and target audiences to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize marketing strategies and report results to stakeholders.
- Ensure all marketing activities and materials comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance policies.
- Manage budget including but not limited to health care provider and consumer initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets
- Manage external vendors to ensure consistency of strategies, messages, and tactics that are on time and within budget
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues: sales, sales training, medical affairs, regulatory, compliance, market access, patient services, customer experience, advocacy, and promotional review committee
- Support the strategy and execution of national & regional congresses
- Booth design, development, and logistics
- Coordination and communication with field and Commercial Operations teams
- Support development and execution of national and regional advisory boards in collaboration with TLLs and patient advocacy
- Partner with patient advocacy to support community organizations and events
- Contribute to development of annual plan strategy and tactics
- Represent marketing in the medical, legal, regulatory promotional reviews, proactively engaging reviewers outside of meetings as needed
- Oversees KOL/Patient/vendor contracting process for the marketing team, assembly of monthly accruals, and HCP contracting
- Lead the planning and execution of internal sales meetings
- Support field selling efforts, including print inventory management and fulfillment, and field congress support
- Measure and assess impact and performance of marketing tactics against goals; in collaboration with HCP and patient marketing leads, adjust plans accordingly
Qualifications
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred
- 2-5+ years of experience in HCP marketing/sales preferably in the healthcare pharmaceutical industry
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing regulations (e.g., FDA guidelines)
