About You

The Area Director (Pro Channel Sales) at Nutrafol will be responsible for developing and executing annual sales plans to exceed performance objectives for his/her area of responsibility. The Area Director will lead and manage a team of Business Development Managers spanning the Southeast US Market: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall coordination, management and leadership of sales strategies in alignment with US sales and marketing strategy.  They will oversee recruitment, hiring, management, development and retention of personnel as needed, and will review, analyze, revise, communicate, and implement company sales procedures and policies. The Area Director will also be responsible for managing strategic implementation of the Nutrafol marketing plan and driving overall performance against key commercial objectives and metrics. This position reports to the National Sales Director.

Please Note: While Nutrafol is a distributed, remote-first company, the successful candidate for this role must reside within the assigned region (Southeast U.S.), as this role requires travel in these markets.

 

Responsibilities

  • Attainment of sales objectives through strategic planning, motivation and area development
  • Evaluate and recommend staff deployment as well as Area and BDM assignments
  • Attract, develop and retain top Business Development Manager field personnel
  • Proactively develop and cultivate a positive and performance-driven culture
  • Monitor field activity to ensure optimal productivity and effectiveness
  • Manage and oversee Area resources, budgets, and expenses
  • Oversee business operations, including accounts receivable, distribution, forecasting, and quota assignment
  • Develop and execute key sales and marketing strategies
  • Build and nurture relationships with top KOLs (Plastic surgeons, Dermatologists, OBYGNs. etc.)
  • Provide key market insights back to sales, operations and marketing management
  • Maintain a high level of business acumen in prioritizing reporting and record-keeping necessary for proper area management
  • Positively represent Nutrafol and the organization at educational events as well as local and national trade shows
  • Actively participate in scheduled company sales meetings, conference calls, and other necessary business meetings
  • Demonstrate and model high integrity aligned with company standards and policies for business and compliance
  • Maintain high degree of knowledge and insight with regard to market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Innovate and scale concepts and vision across the team and area

 

Requirements

  • 8+ years relevant industry experience
  • 6+ years Sales Management experience
  • Experience with biopharmaceutical, medical device and/or healthcare industries (medical aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, etc. strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing large geographic areas and sales teams
  • Highly advanced leadership qualities, such as modeling, coaching, motivating, and building large highly effective teams
  • Strong business acumen, experience working with budgets and finance, and a high degree of technical expertise, including analytics and key revenue drivers
  • Track record of consistently exceeding sales objectives
  • Ability to lead in a launch and in a fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment
  • Ability to model change leadership, perseverance and resilience and to help others navigate ambiguity
