Seeking a Research/Laboratory Technician to conduct research projects and assist with research activities of the Wang Lab at Washington University in St. Louis.The Wang lab is interested in understanding the cell biological mechanisms underlying the formation of centrosomes and cilia in mammalian cells, using high-resolution microscopy, biochemistry, and genome engineering. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and meticulous with excellent organization and communication skills. Prior laboratory experience is highly desirable.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with research studies, experiments and assays, including the collection of data, preparation of solutions and set-up and maintenance of equipment
- Ensure lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects and experiments.
- Set up materials/labs.
- Collect data, maintain files on research, and assist with data entry.
- Assist with manuscript processing.
- Order equipment and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
- Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

$16.54 - $22.35 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
