Federal Reserve Bank of St. LouisOverviewWe, the External Engagement and Corporate Communications Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, are looking for you, an excellent Senior Manager for Employee Communications.
A little about us: The Employee Communications department is housed in the External Engagement and Corporate Communications Division, which provides top-tier communications about the St. Louis Fed to a host of audiences both internal and external to our organization, including employees, media, business leaders, government officials and the general public.
The Senior Manager for Employee Communications, you will report to our Assistant Vice President of Employee Communications and lead a team of communications professionals dedicated to informing and engaging the 1,400 employees who work for the Eighth District of the nation’s central bank.
Responsibilities
Supervise an Employee Communications team of three senior communications consultants and one employee ambassador coordinator—overseeing their assignments and general workload and providing guidance to them on their daily work responsibilities for internal clients, and professional development.
Lead transformation of Bank employee communications’ incorporation of change management principles, including identifying existing processes that may require change to accommodate and provide capacity for new direction.
Assist Employee Communications assistant vice president with strategic counsel and assignments, particularly those related to senior leadership communications and the change management and communications tactic that supports a new organization-wide employee engagement strategy.
Be the backup resource for Employee Communications team members in different capacities, which include writing/editing articles for company intranet, taking on client communications projects and executing on other deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related degree
- 10 years of experience in communications field, with demonstrated experience in leading change management practices; change management certification a plus
- Ability to lead, motivate and challenge a team of high-functioning communications professionals
- Ability to serve as an effective coach and mentor
- Strong writing, editing and presentation skills, with working knowledge of Associated Press style
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Patience and understanding regarding situations requiring conflict resolution
- Knowledge of web content strategy and U/X best practices; Sitecore knowledge a plus
Salary:$135,000 - $163,000
