The Spokane office of Coffman Engineers is looking for the right person to fill the important role of Human Resources Generalist. The right person for this position will enjoy working directly with current and prospective employees, be able to balance multiple simultaneous tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and possess a “can-do” attitude. A high degree of confidentiality and tact are key success factors for this position.

Responsibilities include:

• Recruitment (post jobs, participate in interviews, conduct background checks, EEO outreach, attend career fairs, etc.)
• Onboard new employees
• Respond to human-resources related inquiries
• Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and managers
• Point of contact for employee benefits
• Assist with wellness program activities
• Collaborate with office leadership team to support a positive office culture
• Assist in the planning and organizing of office events
• Work in partnership with corporate and HR Team members throughout the company
• Manage HR data and reporting
• Assist with coordination of mentorship program
• Conduct exit interviews and process close-out paperwork
• Perform other HR and Administrative duties as required

This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Expected wage of $31 - $36 per hour.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in HR or related field preferred
• Two+ years of related experience preferred
• Previous employment with a federal contractor firm a plus
• General knowledge of HR principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• A history of being organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
• Superior communication skills
