About the role

Software Architect

The Opportunity:

At a certain point, software design can start to look like clairvoyance. You’ve developed so many organization-wide software architectures that you can not only orchestrate the best solution for any technical challenge, but you can also anticipate future concerns. That’s because you’re a software architect who smartly defines and develops software architectures and innovative solutions. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the software technology supporting our Department of Defense (DoD) customers within the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) domain.

On our team, you'll translate the customer’s software needs, current capabilities, and future goals into a new transformative campaign modeling tool delivered as a service, by developing the technical vision and an architectural roadmap for the offering, while aligning it with DoD objectives and incorporating AI, ML, or LLM components, including selecting appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet complex requirements, combined with deep technical AI, ML, or LLM expertise, large-scale modeling knowledge, and defense-specific compliance or security experience. Your technical expertise will be vital as you lead to the building of an advanced SaaS solution applying generative AI techniques relevant to campaign modeling, including scenario synthesis and simulation data augmentation.

In this role, you’ll build digitally transformative, campaign-level modeling and simulation tools, data, and processes to assess weapon efficacy for future procurements and employments to support the DoD’s vision for weapons purchasing and development requirements by designing crucial software schemes that’ll unify and elevate disparate legacy systems into a next-generation AI-accelerated ecosystem. With your advanced technical expertise, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, you’ll guide a team that develops an unprecedented solution that encompasses advanced and agile model development, integration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance in a production environment for our customers.

Work with us as we transform the future of munitions technology investments across the DoD as we apply AI/ML and Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, to address complex challenges within the DoD MS&A domain for the better.
