Patreon is the best place for creators to build exclusive content and community for their fans. We enable creators (podcasters, writers, musicians, illustrators, etc) to connect with their fans directly and make money from their creative work. Creators can sell one-off items from their own shops or offer recurring monthly memberships with exclusive access to their work.
There are over 250,000 active creators earning on Patreon and over 10 million members. Our goal has always been to help creators achieve financial freedom doing what they love - and we're leaders in the space, having sent over $3.5 billion to creators since our inception. We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the most talented team in the Creator Economy and are looking for a software engineering interns to support our mission.
This internship will be a 12-week long summer program (May - September 2024) hosted in our San Francisco and New York offices and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Role
You’ll ship a real-world feature that directly impacts the creator economy and helps turn your favorite creator's passion into a living.
You’ll be part of a great team. You’ll be embedded into a world-class engineering team, working alongside fellow engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists to make your feature successful.
You’ll learn a lot. In the spirit of Win Together, we’ll pair you with one of our experienced engineers to mentor and guide you as you ramp up and work through all the technical challenges of your internship project.
You’ll have fun. Besides shipping a great product and partaking in Patreon's Intern Summit, you’ll experience San Francisco or New York City during your summer internship alongside your intern cohort!
About You:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical degree (e.g. Math, Physics)
Solid technical knowledge of CS fundamentals and data structures
Experience using one or more programming languages, including but not limited to: Python, Swift, Kotlin, and TypeScript
Willingness to learn and incorporate feedback
Passion for Patreon and working with the Creators
